How to Throw A Galentine's Day Brunch + Free Printables

Celebrate this Valentine's Day with a Galentine's Day Brunch!

Sometimes you have a Valentine's Day date, and sometimes you don't. That's just one of the reasons why I'm so happy that "Galentine's Day" has become a thing. Either way, I still get to celebrate February 14th with people I love - my girlfriends!

For this brunch, I wanted there to be just a nod to Valentine's Day. I stayed away from all of the hearts and arrows. Instead I decided to focus on my two favorite colors - pink and copper, and incorporated florals. I made several printables for this party that you can use too - just scroll to the bottom of the post to download them. Even though this was for Galentine's day, this brunch setup would also be great for Mother's Day or a Bridal shower.

For the table setting, I wanted keep things casual with paper plates and napkins. But I love how fun and festive the choices have become lately like these ones from Oriental Trading Company. They also had these awesome paper chargers. Love them!

I also got this glittered Rose Gold table runner.

I already owned my white serving dishes, and I use them all of the time. But I try to be super careful with the white cake stand that the quiche is on. My Grandmother got it in the 60's by collecting and redeeming grocery store trading stamps. Unfortunately she died when I was three and I can't remember her, but I love hearing my mom frequently say how much alike we are. Every time I use this cake stand I think of her. It would have been so amazing to have her at a Galentine's Day brunch like this.

I put the party favors at each place setting in these pretty metallic pink gift bags.

My kitchen dining area is really open, so there is only one wall space that I can decorate to go along with my table setting. I found my copper mirror at Ross right after Thanksgiving and knew I could incorporate it into my party design. This inflatable rose gold mylar love balloon from Oriental Trading Company went with the mirror so well. Like I mentioned earlier, copper/rose gold is my favorite color at the moment, and I just can't get enough!

I picked out the boxwood garland from Oriental Trading Company and had intended to use it with my table runner, but ended up hanging it on the wall with some Command Hooks. I love the pop of green and I feel like it goes well with the fruit tray on my table setting.

For the food, I wanted to keep it simple. I love brunch items because they are usually really easy to make or available ready made in the grocery store. I think it's nice to provide your guests with a variety of sweet and savory choices.

My girlfriends can certainly figure out what everything on the table is, but I like to make printable labels anyway. I created blank labels so we could write our names on our coffee cups too.

Over on my leather cabinet, I set up a coffee station (coffee, cups, creamer, and rock candy stir sticks), juice, and muffins. I LOVE this copper Ferris wheel cupcake holder, but it is so impractical! There is absolutely no way to put a decorated cupcake into one of the holders, so this is the first time that I've actually used it. I had to squish the muffins in and couldn't use the wrappers that I had made. But like I said, I LOVE IT!!!! I think I'll just be serving a lot of muffins in the near future.

I like to use rock candy sticks instead of a sugar bowl and spoons for stirring some sweetness into coffee.
